It's A Shabby Thursday! (This Week's TFT Party)

Good morning, sweet friends. Welcome back to this week's edition of the Thursday Favorite Things party. I'm so glad you're joining me. As I write this, I have just said goodnight to a very different kind of day. Today was the one year anniversary of my father's death. And while my mind and soul rejoice for him in Heaven, my heart and humanness still miss him.  So forgive me, I am not going to embellish too much this week. Thankfully, I have been looking at all your wonderful shabbiness all through the week and have plenty of inspiration from your talents. So, mums the word and unto your features.
Linda from It All Started With Paint shared her Easy Distressed Terracotta Pots
Michelle from Thistle Key Lane showed us How To Style An Entry Table Tray
Jenn from Life In The Little Blue House's Lemon Bundt Cake looks and sounds divine.
Judith from Botanic Bleu's New Wood Chandelier for the Garden Shed is just perfect in its new home.
Emily from Le Cutivateur's Furniture Transformation Thursday ~ vintage cabinet is simply the perfect chippy piece. I love it and the beautiful Ironstone pitchers on top!
Crystal at Crystal & Co. shared her recipe for this yummy Homemade Peach Lemonade. I'm looking forward to trying this one too.

Thank you all so much for sharing all of your incredibly talented posts and creations! I just LOVE seeing so much beauty in one place.
Wonderful weekend wishes to you all.

  3. Oh, that vintage cabinet in all its rustic gorgeous glory! Need one in my life I think. :) Thanks so much for hosting and for sharing your heart, Theresa. Thinking of you as you reflect on your loss and the year that has passed. Wishing you warmth and reassurance that your faith and the truth--that we are all returning to the womb of God and will be united someday--will bring. I'm sharing at #116 today, and it's a tender topic...the genetic mutation diagnosis that has taken me on a journey with surgeries and new challenges but also great personal growth. Without such curveballs, I would simply not be awakened or as compassionate so I welcome them with a surrendered heart. I know you get it. Thanks for the opportunity to share, and I wish you peace right where you are.

  4. Theresa, I'm sure the anniversary is tough one. Yesterday, was just three months since my dad passed and ten days from now is his birthday. It's going to be rough for my mom, far from me in Florida. Take the time you need away from blogging. We'll still be here.

  5. The one year mark can be difficult. I still think of my dad on the anniversary of his passing and it has been 37 years. I was only 16 when he died. I do remember that one of my mother's friends sent her a card on the one year anniversary of his passing. She was so touched and I still remember that. I love it when people take a little time to brighten someone's day. I hope that your memories of your dad are a source of comfort for you. Even though we rejoice for them in Heaven, we still miss them here. Thank you for hosting the party. Our links this week are: #210, #211, & #212.
