Finding Some Peace & Inspiration When It's Not Easy

Good morning, friends. I would love to be all light and fuzzy this morning, but alas, I cannot. Our country is going through so much divisiveness and so many struggles, not just with COVID and the pandemic rules, but with friends and family members with lost jobs, economic struggles for those that, thankfully, prior to this, have not had to experience a grocery line or wait and pray that they can get a food box. Then, there's what's going on in Washington... And, even though, I will not and do not want anyone to get political, here, it is a sad week... month... for American democracy. My prayers go out to all those living in fear when they go to work. I'm praying for our leaders and those in power to make good choices for the greater good of all Americans, And, while, possibly, we might disagree on what that may be, I think we can all agree on peace and kindness. That being said and acknowledged at this specific time in history, I will get on with the party and thank you all for being here and we will put out our positivity, by enabling others to make their corners of the world a little more beautiful, a little more tasty, and possibly even a little more enriched.

So, if you are cold and down and maybe a little overwhelmed pop over to Comfort Spring Station and print out one of Carol's adorable Valentine Gnomes! Carol shared her post"Top Posts of 2020" but I, honestly, could not see past this sweetheart.

Or maybe pop over to My Wee Abode and print up Julie's beautiful Cozy January Calendar Page

Another great place to start any New Year...Debra from Common Ground has it pegged on the head with her Starting a Daily Prayer Journal, And Planners and Calendars...All great ways to bring in a new and humble heart to the New Year
I am loving Barbara from Mantel and Table's Snowy White Mantel. Isn't it beautiful?! You should see her matching table!

Marie from Interior Frugalista finished off here 2020 with her Red Apron Stenciled With Farmhouse Style and she shows us how to do it! I LOVE aprons! If you haven't seen my Ruffled Apron, you'll love it too!

Cindy, The Luch Lady shared this yummy, and guaranteed to warm your belly, recipe for her Better Than Panera Broccoli Cheddar Soup Yes, please!! Can you see my hand waving?!! Love this!

And, Debbie from Debbie Dabble says let's just accept what it is with her sweet Wreath from Winter Crafting and a Bit of Snow and Just go ahead and Let it Snow, eh, Deb?!

And then there are some things that just speak to your heart, like  Beth from Whispers of the Heart's sweet Winter Scene Tablescape It just makes me smile and reminds me of some of my favorite red transferware.
Finally, If you are willing to look a little deeper join CoCo over at the Crowned Goad for a bit of Self-Discovery and ger choice for 13 Books to Read This Year.

With that, I wish you all a safe and Healthy week, until we meet again. I pray that you are finding peace in this stormy time of life and that we all come out stronger because of it.
That's it for me!
 God Bless,
Theresa

    1. Julie, I don't know what I would do if I didn't have Christ to turn to. I believe the words in the quote you shared are very true. Although He never promised it would be easy. and that's okay too. Thank you so much for your words and for joining us each week. I, so, enjoy your shares. ")

  7. Happy New Year Theresa! Joining at 128, 129 and 130. Trying to stay focused on what I need to do each day because otherwise - there are no words (or too many things to say) and it is just too upsetting.

Sending love, hugs and prayers your way! xoxo
