The Perfect Tree and a Good Friend

I am Blessed to have a friend who is large and strong and kind, who is happy to help when called in exchange for a couple cups of coffee and conversation.   I called him when I found “the Christmas tree,” you know the one, the one you have to have and for the right price.  Yes, believe it or not, it was in this lot that I found my 11-foot beauty for $39.99!!

Of course, my friend tried to talk me into a smaller one, as he was the one that was going to have to lift into his truck and help me get up my stairs and into its stand.
When I first found it though I had seen the beginning of a bird’s nest inside its middle branches, and I was sure that was God's sign to me that this was my tree!! My friend did try to move the stack of sticks and twigs into a smaller tree, but I was already in love, so he gave in to the fact I wasn't going to look at any others and dutifully loaded into the back of his truck.
Thanks, D!
I know I am biased, but isn't it the most beautiful tree you've ever seen...I know, I know, you probably think you have the best tree. But you would have a difficult time convincing me of that!  Now onto the lights!! Oh, my the house smells so wonderful.
How lucky am I that this the view from my desk?
I'll be back soon!!  I have been such a busy elf, that I barely know what to share with you next!   I have more decorating to do!!
Did you see it over there on the table? I swear my heart and eyes are full.
Many Blessings to you all!!

  1. It is truly a beauty indeed! And....a nest within its branches is supposed to be considered a blessing for she who chooses it. We had that happen one year and the kids were beyond excited that their perfect tree had a nest! It was like a bonus gift!

Merry Christmas, my friend. May the holidays be full of warmth, cheer, and lots of love!

  3. It is perfect. I totally relate on this issue. I do 3 trees each year. 2 artificial and 1 real. The real one is for my hubby who must have that real perfect huge tree each year. It's gonna be hard to tell him this year that you found it first!!! Glad I stopped in, happy decorating. Love Patty

  8. How I wish I could have a real tree, but I'm allergic to all spruce trees. I've been taking shots for 3 years weekly and maybe someday I'll be able to tolerate it. Yours truly looks magnificent in your home! Glad you have a friend to do the heavy work.

  13. Gorgeous tree! I cannot wait until we have room for a tall tree again. In my parents house they had vaulted ceilings and a lot of space, so growing up we had really big trees. Now my husband and I are in a tiny apartment, so we only have room for a 5 foot tree. It's still awesome, but I really love giant trees. :-) And you have such a great friend to help you get the tree home and set up! Thanks for linking this up to the Winter Wonders & Holiday Happenings link party! I'm glad you did, and thanks for stopping by!

    1. What a great share from you! Thanks, Jessi! Not just for the comment, but for the reminder of how Blessed I am. I rent, too. This is only the 2nd home I've had where I didn't have to have a "table-top" size tree. So, I know exactly how you feel. It sure does feel more 'Christmassy' with the beautiful large tree! And yes, I am lucky to have such a great friend! Thanks for coming by!
      Blessings to you and yours,
