A Belated Happy 2024 and What’s Been Keeping Me Busy

Hi friends! Happy New Year. I have missed you all so much. I couldn’t let January go by without wishing you all a very happy New Year and sharing a little bit about my life since we last met.  Life has been very busy, but there has also been plenty of Joy. I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday season and are looking forward to this New Year that we are in. I will never get used to us being in the 2000s!

Since we last met, I have coordinated and catered a Global Leadership Summit, hosted by my church. It was an awesome opportunity and a labor of love.  Here’s a quick sneak peek at the breakfast offering.

Late November and early December found me preparing a couple hundred mini cupcakes for a Christmas Tea party. It was a great event and fundraiser. Close to my heart.
I baked and piped a few hundred other cupcakes for various events, all the while getting our family’s annual baking done and distributed to our close family and friends.

This is a little peek at the table I decorated and hosted for that Christmas Tea.
I’m sure there’s a million other things I’m forgetting to tell you, like picking out, transporting and decorating Two Christmas Trees! Yep, one for my Mum and one for me.
Which kind of brings us up to date, which, of course, if you are an heirloom gardener or homesteader, you know that means seed starting time, inside to get the maximum out of our growing season.
Last August, September and October had me reaping the benefits of the year’s harvest and canning a lot for the winter!
These are just a few examples of how our tables looked during the height of the season. Can you say yum?!

I was really quite pleased with myself, I managed to put up every type of tomato sauce, paste, chutney, pickles, pies and relish we could possibly need for the coming year, as well as enough to share!
I made a yummy Apple/Tomato Chutney that is to die for over cheese it just on a burger! I think you’d love it. I hope to share some of those recipes with you all soon. Until then, many Blessings friends. And, yes, I’m still here, trying to find my way back while aiding my mother and all the rest. I hope to chat with you all again sooner than later.
Be well, until next time,Theresa.
