Nova Scotia Style Shortbread Cookies ~ Holiday Baking Time

I make these wonderful cookies every year, These are my personal favorite cookie. Truly, very "Nova Scotia style" Shortbread Cookies. As I did last year, this year. I made both the plain and the ones with some chocolate drizzle for my friends that are not real use to a cookie without alot of sugar. I hope you enjoy them!

I want to tell you that, for me, this is "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year"! Even as January creeps closer. I love this holiday time, celebrating the Birth of Jesus, and having "special time" to spend with my Loved ones. I truly believe, and wish people would have a little Christmas in their hearts all year long, present company Included!!

Fall Comfort Foods You Need to Make!

Happy November! We had a perfectly rainy past week, that I am so grateful for and the chill is just starting to embrace our mornings and evenings. I can't tell you how this makes me smile. 

 

What better way to welcome the new month in than sharing some honest, down home good, tried and true Comfort Foods?!  Don't we all look forward to the true tastes of home? 

November and/or Fall would not be complete without a really good fill of homemade Pumpkin Bread and this recipe fits the bill perfectly!

Good Morning, Friends. November is a great month to celebrate Family. Believe it or not, we are just days away that time. I, especially, love this time I have to spend  in the kitchen and prepare my home for welcoming my family and friends, sharing good food and good fellowship. The Best Roasted Butternut Squash Soup ~ Creamy and Savory

One of the things I look most forward to about Fall is the soup! Baking is wonderful, too!  There is just something truly special about making a wonderful soup, picking up french bread, or making biscuits, and inviting family to come share your table with you.

This is the time of year when we start to take stock of things and, genuinely, count our blessings. Thanksgiving right around the corner and the desire to be with family becomes more important as we realize how truly blessed we are.  So, I've been working on these images to share a recipe of mine that my family especially loves.

Upcycling an Old Cassette Crate!

Hi Friends! I know you are probably shocked to see me back with a project of my own, and not just the weekly party!  It has, unfortunately been a very long time....
