Welcome friends! Are you ready?! It's this weekend! We're Springing forward in the middle of an "atmospheric river" event! Supposedly, starting today and continuing through next week. You know, I still can't ever complain about the rain. First, I love it, and second, we have needed it SO BADLY for so long. It's exciting to see our green grasses and rivers and lakes filling up again! Okay, back to today and the Thursday Favorite Things party! Good morning and welcome friends! Well, here we are, February already. And, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, so bundle up for six more weeks of winter. What a weird month February is. Just 28 days long (but sometimes 29 every four years, which is so random when you think about it) Nonetheless, it’s great to be alive! Grateful for each moment and grateful to have you all here with us for another week of the Thursday Favorite Things party. I’m busy baking and getting everything ready for my Spring garden, there’s actually a lot of work to be done far before planting time, but I’m enjoying and excited about it all!

I guess it all depends on your perspective, right? Usually, I would be counting the days until Fall arrived, but, this year, because of my garden and veggies growing, I’m grateful for the hot days as they seem to double in size and ripeness overnight! Most of you know I’m a baker. Honestly, that’s exactly why I started gardening! I knew what I wanted and, either couldn’t find it, or couldn’t afford it. Hence, the search began, in the beginning, just for a really good roasting tomato for my focaccia and soups and sauces. Well, it’s kind of snowballed from there! Hah!

October 21st already, friends, and we HAVE RAIN in Northern California!! Soon all of California with the systems through this weekend! They are saying that these are, OFFICIALLY, ending our very long, large, devastating, and costly fire Season. All I can say and do is Praise the Lord! Thank you to all of you who have prayed along with me for those tragic fires to end. Though this won't take us out of the drought, it's a darn good start in the right direction!
