Quite honestly you all deserve to be featured. But, since I can't really do that, here's just a few of my favorites this week.

Sherry from The Charm of Home had this beautiful The Splendor of Spring post, that spoke to my heart. I'm a Bible journalese and a flowers of all kinds enthusiast.....so, tailor made for me. ;)

What to do Weekends #147 ~ Albeit a bit late!

Good morning, friends. Thank you so much for popping over. My sincerest apologies to you and my What to do Weekends Co-host, Linda from the incredible Crafts a La Mode!
I have no glib anecdotes for you. I have a head cold and bronchitis.  I don't know if it was the benedryl, or the Dayquil or the honey and cinnamon that did me in.  But, at the time the party was to be posted I was out of it and grateful for that! So, if this reads a little like a flu induced stupor, it is! 

With that said, Linda pitch-hit the party out of the park, all on her own. So major kudos to her for that.

I have been popping around and pinning your work during the past week and will continue to do so. I'm so grateful to tell you that if you pop over to Crafts a la Mode you will see Linda's awesome Features for the week. I, on the other hand, will have to make it up to you, I promise, I will, after I can crawl out of bed for more than a half hour at a time.

What to do Weekends #140

Welcome to What to do Weekends Party!
 Your hostesses, Theresa and Linda could not be more thrilled to have you here to kick off the Weekend and the Party!!
Theresa wanted to take a second to ask you for prayers for all the firefighters and the victims of the recent #ValleyFire. I live in Northern California and we are going through the most devastating Fire season in history. My county and several others near by have lost so many homes and lives, as well as, all of their belongings.  Such devastation is so very hard to see. I am okay. but many are not. Please, mention them in your prayers today, tonight, whenever you can. Their fight is just starting. We have pop up evacuation centers everywhere and we rush our clothing and as much supplies as we can to try and aid them. But, I'm afraid it will take alot of time for most. Thank you.

Onto Theresa's Feature picks for the week! Let's start with the recipes first, for a change!
Theresa Loved The Charm of Home's gorgeous Tea set and Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread! Yum!
Appropriately titled, "Did Someone Say Pumpkin?!"

Secondly, Theresa loved this gorgeous Saskatoon Berry Galette from A Pretty Life in the Suburbs! Galette's are one of her faves. Check out Theresa's recipe for her Strawberry-Rhubarb Galette here!

Now for the wonderful DIY picks! Theresa loved Dandelion Patina's Neutral Fall Mantel!

Still, Anxiously awaiting Fall her second pick was 24 Cottonwood Lane's Fall Planter.

Time for a New Adventure!

I have some news that I want to share with you today.

I have been abundantly Blessed for the past seven and a half years with this beautiful little two bedroom house that I have come to call home.  For those of you that have been following along with Shoestring Elegance, since I began just a few years ago, you have all seen, through each and every project or rose from my garden, how much I have enjoyed my house and living here, though every single picture, I have shared with you.(which also warms my heart to know those memories are captured, here!)

Exciting News and So Much Fun!

Do you all know Joy, from her awesome blog she calls "Yesterfood"?? Every week she and Wanda Ann, from Memories by the Mile throw a wonderful party, full of Inspiration, good recipes and fun crafts! It is called Treasure Box Tuesday. Don't you just love that name?!  For quite some time, I have been popping back and forth to Yesterfood and sharing my little creations with Joy and Wanda Ann. so much fun!

Was I ever surprised, this week, to find out that Joy had picked me & Shoestring Elegance to be her Blogger of the Month, for May!!! I cannot tell you how honored I was and am! So, as with most all things, I had to share the news with you!

Joy chose Shoestring Elegance and Wanda Ann chose The Lou Lou Girls! If you have not had the pleasure of meeting all these incredibly talented Ladies, may I suggest you click on some of the links I've put, here, in this post and go take a good look? I guarantee you will enjoy yourself! They have never disappointed me and  I am always Inspired!

Joy even "fancied up" my little Blog button and is displaying it on her sidebar for this month!! Now I ask you, How Blessed am I?  It seems, to me, beyond measure, Not just because I'm Joy's Blogger of the month, but because God has blessed me abundantly with wonderful women in this whole Blogging thing that have encouraged, lifted and supported me, beyond my own imagination!
