It’s here! It’s, finally, officially Fall! Yippee! Happy Fall 2022, friends. I pray it will be a safe and happy one for you all. I must keep it brief today, my friends, I am in the middle of making 100 plus cupcakes for my church for this Sunday! Just keeps me a wee bit busy. I'm SO excited I just realized that by the next time we party together Autumn/Fall will have officially arrived!! Five more days as I write this! Can you just hear me squealing with delight? I believe if the forecast holds true 😏 that our high for the day will be in the mid 70s. In California, that's wonderful. Even though I long for the crisp air... I'll take 70's! And, you all are right on cue with my favorite season! Thanks for that!

Fall Countdown Continues!

 Hello sweet friends, how are you all doing in your neck of the woods, so to speak? I'm so grateful that you have come over to join me.  Today was the first day in over a week, maybe longer, I really can't remember, that we were not sweating in the 100's and beyond! Thank God! I am so looking forward to all things Autumn/Fall! Crisp air, sweaters, a good rain, a fireplace for warm. I can't wait!

Good morning, beautiful people. I'm so happy you are here. I am so happy to be here with you! The last few weeks have been pretty dicy, but I think I am, finally,  beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Yay!  Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? This is one occasion I tend to pass on if I'm being honest, but I love all things beautiful that people come up with to savor the day and, of course, the gorgeous decorations that come with it! So, that's where this week's party took me. Thank you for sharing with us.

I think this is a super fun time of year to start planning your Christmas Home! Especially with Hallmark's Countdown to Christmas (yes, I am an addict!) providing tons of Inspiration. Not to mention, that I am doing the Christmas decorations for my church, which are going to be off the charts gorgeous! Still SO DIY! What's not to love?! I wish I was as far ahead of many of last week's bloggers, who provided even more inspiration with their, already done posts of all things wonderfully beautiful and DIY for Christmas. Hae a look!

Fall Favorites (TFT Party)

Good morning, my friends. I'm going to have to keep it short and sweet today, I'm not sure if my power will stay on very long. I want to thank all of you, who left comments of support and added your prayers to mine last week, as we, here in Northern California navigated life with nearby fires and rolling power outages. I'm sorry I haven't had the time to respond to all your kind comments, but I did get to read them and am very grateful.

Yesterday evening, finally, brought some very welcome news...

"The wind event proved to be much less than they thought. Our amazing firefighters kept the fire at bay and the increase was minimal. We are at 76,825 acres and 45% containment which is AMAZING!! 
Forever grateful for all your prayers and the hard work done to keep us safe and the damage minimal!"

All Things Autumn & This Week's Thursday Favorite Thing Party

Good morning, friends. Well, it's finally happened...Autumn has arrived. Yes, even here in Northern California and I couldn't be happier. Even with all the fire scares, the power shutoffs, stocking the house for emergencies, I am abundantly grateful for cool, crisp air, fog that brings back that wonderful morning mist and humidity levels that so help all our firefighters... Grateful.  Happy to be baking, cooking soups and stews and all the wonderful things that come with this glorious Season. I've even needed my coat a couple of times. Simply blissful.

Good morning! This has been what I've been doing. ) it's a serious thing for me! There isn't a day that goes by now when I'm not looking at the Fall Countdown! It was a very pleasant high 80's for a few days, but unfortunately mother nature took a turn on me and has been hitting us with mid '90s!!! No thank you.  I need sweater weather! I want to wear my flannel pajamas and feel so cold I need to pout my robe and socks on too!! I want o cook and bake and be grateful that I have warmed up the house with the oven. I think I live in the wrong part of our country! LOL  That's the kind of gal I am!
So, TODAY,  ONLY 10 more days! Squeals with excitement!

What I'm Loving in August ~ (TFT Party)

Hi friends! I sure hope you all are finding some way to stay cool, I'm doing my best but it sure isn't easy with these triple-digit days. Thank you all so much for your very kind comments last week. As they say, life does go on.  I just finished baking 15 dozen breakfast cookies for a function at my church, and to be honest with you, I'm quite okay not to bake for a little while now... In all honesty, I was thrilled and honored to get to contribute, I certainly am grateful though, that I baked them before the heatwave hit!  No special theme this week in the features, I just went through and grabbed the first ones that caught my eye. Not my usual, but really kind of fun! It truly is so difficult to limit the features with so much talent from you all.  So, without further delay, here are the ones I'm loving this week!

It's A Shabby Thursday! (This Week's TFT Party)

Good morning, sweet friends. Welcome back to this week's edition of the Thursday Favorite Things party. I'm so glad you're joining me. As I write this, I have just said goodnight to a very different kind of day. Today was the one year anniversary of my father's death. And while my mind and soul rejoice for him in Heaven, my heart and humanness still miss him.  So forgive me, I am not going to embellish too much this week.
