Hi friends, I'm so sorry about last week. I never did get back to the party. I apologize, but, like I said, sometimes, life just takes over. Being a nurse and someone who's already living with pain, you write a lot of things off about your body, until you just can't anymore. :(

It's A Shabby Thursday! (This Week's TFT Party)

Good morning, sweet friends. Welcome back to this week's edition of the Thursday Favorite Things party. I'm so glad you're joining me. As I write this, I have just said goodnight to a very different kind of day. Today was the one year anniversary of my father's death. And while my mind and soul rejoice for him in Heaven, my heart and humanness still miss him.  So forgive me, I am not going to embellish too much this week. Thankfully, I have been looking at all your wonderful shabbiness all through the week and have plenty of inspiration from your talents. So, mums the word and unto your features.

It seems we all love to share some of our favorite recipes, as each season comes and goes. I am no exception to that thought. I love welcoming each different season with my favorites for that time, as well. As I am definitely a Fall/Winter person, I get so excited that I start baking fall dishes at the end of the summer as I anxiously await my favorite season. Case and point last week I shared my Grandmother's Canadian Butter Tarts! You can find them, here!

I'm just counting down the days when I can have my oven on more, without it making the temperature in the house intolerable. Until then, you have all provided me with some wonderful summer recipes to get me through. Thanks for that! Let's take a look!

Hi, friends!  I hope your 2017 is going just as you desire.  It's been a crazy, but wonderful week, so much going on with my family right now, I must apologize I didn't have as much time as I would have liked to work on the party and visit you all as much as  I usually do. That being said I'm going to highlight a couple of my faves tonight and hope to update this post with more features in the next couple of days. You are all such an inspiration to me that you can make it through all the holidays and activities of the new year and get so much done on your blogs! I must confess, I am not equal to your talents.

Time for a New Adventure!

I have some news that I want to share with you today.

I have been abundantly Blessed for the past seven and a half years with this beautiful little two bedroom house that I have come to call home.  For those of you that have been following along with Shoestring Elegance, since I began just a few years ago, you have all seen, through each and every project or rose from my garden, how much I have enjoyed my house and living here, though every single picture, I have shared with you.(which also warms my heart to know those memories are captured, here!)
