Just like that… It’s February!

Hello and welcome back friends! Can you believe we are just 6 short days away from February 2023?!  My goodness, the older I get the faster it goes! Looks like you all are getting ready for Spring too! I have my seeds all germinated and starting off in the nice warm inside, just waiting and growing for the upcoming Season.  Well, friends, to be honest with you all, I don’t celebrate Valentine’s, but your beautiful offerings were too sweet for me not to share! Good morning sweet friends! Thank you for understanding my absence last week and for your kind well wishes and prayers.  I’m happy to report my mother and sister seem to be past the worst of Covid and on the road to recovery.  Praise the Lord! Happy Summer 2022! Can you believe it? Inspiring Women!

Good morning, friends, and happy last week of January. Can you believe that? One month has already gone by of the new year. We are having a wonderful rainstorm here in Northern California! And I do mean wonderful! No doubt you’ve heard of the fires we’ve had the last several years, and this is a very welcome sight for most Californians, myself included. I am a true lover of fall and winter, with all their cool days, changing leaves, and the beautiful sound of rain and thunder. So it’s especially exciting for me. 

I am always so impressed and inspired by all the beautiful work you guys bring every week to this party. You make me feel lazy! LOL, I am still baking, cooking, and decorating, however, I haven’t been able to find the time to do the pictures necessary to write a post. I will get something up here soon. I promise.

 Meanwhile, let’s look at all the wonderful inspiration you brought to the party last week!

A New Day & This Week's TFT Party

Well, it is definitely a new day, a new era, even possibly. Regardless of where you stand, one chapter has ended and a new one has just begun and suddenly numerous quotes are popping into my view and speaking to my heart. So, I am CHOOSING to embrace them. It is definitely a choice that one must decide to make. 

"KINDNESS IS RADICAL. Where there is kindness

there is goodness. It is brave and daring, fearless and courageous." On this day,  after inauguration day, I thought this would be a good reminder today. (The last line is from my sister.)

Finding Some Peace & Inspiration When It's Not Easy

 Good morning, friends. I would love to be all light and fuzzy this morning, but alas, I cannot. Our country is going through so much divisiveness and so many struggles, not just with COVID and the pandemic rules, but with friends and family members with lost jobs, economic struggles for those that, thankfully, prior to this, have not had to experience a grocery line or wait and pray that they can get a food box. Then, there's what's going on in Washington... And, even though, I will not and do not want anyone to get political, here, it is a sad week... month... for American democracy. My prayers go out to all those living in fear when they go to work. I'm praying for our leaders and those in power to make good choices for the greater good of all Americans, And, while, possibly, we might disagree on what that may be, I think we can all agree on peace and kindness. That being said and acknowledged at this specific time in history, I will get on with the party and thank you all for being here and we will put out our positivity, by enabling others to make their corners of the world a little more beautiful, a little more tasty, and possibly even a little more enriched.

Happy December, The Countdown (officially) Begins!

 Good morning and welcome back to the TFT Party! I'm so glad you are here. I pray you all had a safe and healthy Thanksgiving! I pray that you all stay healthy as the COVID numbers are surging. God save us all from such an illness.  I'm so glad to see that, like me and my family, you are all pressing on and doing the decorating and the baking and creating. This, I believe is what will get us all through to the other side of this thing. Truly, I pray blessings over you all.

Good morning and happy October, friends! Can you believe that? Already October now. I’m so grateful for the Fall months. They truly are my favorite time of the year. I am, however, desperately looking forward to the season’s cooler weather. Living in Northern California has been quite a roller coaster the last few weeks.

I'm SO excited I just realized that by the next time we party together Autumn/Fall will have officially arrived!! Five more days as I write this! Can you just hear me squealing with delight? I believe if the forecast holds true 😏 that our high for the day will be in the mid 70s. In California, that's wonderful. Even though I long for the crisp air... I'll take 70's! And, you all are right on cue with my favorite season! Thanks for that!

Fall Countdown Continues!

 Hello sweet friends, how are you all doing in your neck of the woods, so to speak? I'm so grateful that you have come over to join me.  Today was the first day in over a week, maybe longer, I really can't remember, that we were not sweating in the 100's and beyond! Thank God! I am so looking forward to all things Autumn/Fall! Crisp air, sweaters, a good rain, a fireplace for warm. I can't wait! 

Wacky Summer Weather!

I don't know about you guys but this Summer has had some pretty wacky weather here, in northern California! Since Sunday we have had record highs (and I mean 106-108F in my town, to world record breaking highs elsewhere in the state) to thousands of lightning strikes, marble-sized hail...
This is not normal in my area and has, unfortunately, started a great many huge fires. Thankfully, although we have woken to ash on everything and can barely escape the smoke, the fires you have probably been hearing about are not in my actual town. Thanking God for that and knocking on wood. However, a great many people, nearby, have lost everything. Many, many prayers to them and their families. May we all find safe haven and some true peace soon

Valentine's DIYs and Inspirations

Good morning, beautiful people. I'm so happy you are here. I am so happy to be here with you! The last few weeks have been pretty dicy, but I think I am, finally,  beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Yay!  Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? This is one occasion I tend to pass on if I'm being honest, but I love all things beautiful that people come up with to savor the day and, of course, the gorgeous decorations that come with it! So, that's where this week's party took me. Thank you for sharing with us.
